Benefits for Veterans

Posted by James Jett on December 18, 2006

March 22,2006 I received a letter from the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) and it stated the following in the first paragraph: “Thank you for contacting the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC). The record needed to answer your inquiry is not in our files. If the record were here on July 12, 1973, it would have been in the area that suffered the most damage in the fire on that date and may have been in the area that suffered the most damage in the fire on that date and may have been destroyed. The fire destroyed the major portion of records of Army military personnel for the period 1912 through 1959, and records of Air Force personnel with the surnames Hubbard through Z for the period 1947 through 1963. Fortunately, there are alternate records sources that often contain information which can be used to reconstruct service record data lost in the fire; however, complete Personnel Records cannot be reconstructed.

I applied for my records after I had completed a plan to cut the cost of my health expenses by using the VA facilities at the Louis Stokes medical Center, after my medical insurance increased to five hundred dollars per month; add car insurance and it exceeded my Social Security check each month. Also, I had completed my business plans and we got the business up and running. The first problem we had was with the equipment. The truth? The problem really were the operators, some did not like getting up at 2:30 in the morning, to adjust the Trunk-lines from the UK; so many calls did not get through.

After the phone conference on the week-end, I will submit and application to the Government for a business loan; State, Federal or both. At the same time, I will apply for all the business aid and support available to Veterans. An example, if a large company (say Fortune five hundred) get a Government contract for $100 million; they should make $10 million available as a sub-contract to veterans. My son and I are veterans, so I will apply for all benefits needed to leave my Grandchildren an on-going business. All information needed to complete the applications will be posted on this Site, including the names, phone numbers, and locations. Will I tell you what businesses we are investing in?. Yes, I will only give you the Web Site.
